Delta: Oborevwori triumphs in Ethiopia, as INEC postpones collation until Monday.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, gubernatorial candidate in Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, was humbled on Sunday after winning Ethiope West, the former governor’s home local government.

According to the State Collation Officer, Dr Georgewill Owuneri, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori received 7,065 votes, while APC governorship candidate Senator Ovie Omo-Agege received 6,758 votes and Labour Party candidate Mr Ken Pela received 304 votes.

Owuneri announced a halt in the collation exercise after collating Ethiope West, bringing the total number of Local Government Areas collated so far to 18 out of the 25. He stated that further results collation would resume at 9 a.m. on Monday.
