Bola Tinubu’s inauguration, according to Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, will empower him.

According to the Daily Trust, Tinubu, the winner of the elections held on February 25, 2023, would take office as the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s 16th President and Commander-in-Chief on Monday.

The event is being planned in full swing, and security measures are in place.

For the August event, which will take place at Eagle Square, dignitaries have arrived in Nigeria’s capital city, including the group of US President Joe Biden.

In response to a query on the inauguration in a current Twitter Spaces, Obi vowed to continue fighting for “his mandate.”

“I didn’t begin this adventure in a single day since I knew it wouldn’t be simple. The inauguration will give me more confidence.

“I am aware of how demoralised you are by the fact that your attempt did not go as planned. We are engaged in conflict with a powerful institution. It’s been a long fight for us. Even I am aware that the road ahead is difficult; they will undoubtedly level accusations, use blackmail, and other tactics, but I am prepared.

“I sincerely appreciate your sacrifice, and I kindly beg that you not feel dejected. Thank you for your sacrifice and for contributing to this greatness.

“Please, let’s stick together while we go through this sorrow. Let’s follow the proper path. Nobody—including me—can make the claim to be a saint. In the past, I might have unknowingly committed an offence. I beg you to maintain your attention. This is a transition that takes place throughout time.

Also, Obi urged his fans to continue praying for the nation.

According to a contributor, some of Obi’s fans, sometimes known as Obidients, were demoralised by the election’s results.

Several of them, according to her, believed that the fight would be won once Tinubu took the oath.
