The producers of “The Mother’s Day TV Show,” Media Industries Concept, have announced United Bank for Africa (UBA) as the program’s headline sponsor for the 2023 edition. The event, which is set to take place on Sunday, May 14, 2023, will bring together notable women and mothers from Nigeria to celebrate motherhood, women’s growth, and the challenges that widows face in society.

The theme of this year’s programme is “Women Helping Women Grow,” and it promises to be a spectacular event that emphasises the importance of women’s empowerment while also supporting the plight of widows in Nigeria. The show will be broadcast live on Lagos State Television, LTV is available on terrestrial television, DSTV channel 276 and GOTV channel 90.

The event will feature special guests such as the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. Mrs. Ibijoke Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, Distinguished Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, member of the House of Representatives and frontline contender for the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives, Miriam Onuoha, former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Mrs. Ibim Semenitari, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alle.

Gloria Anozie-Young, Ngozi Nwosu, Grace Ama, Thelma Chukwunwem, Obey Etok Chima, Chidi Ihezie Okafor, Maimuna Yahaya-Abaji, Maureen Solomon-Okereke, and Ronnie Dikko-Kila joined the legendary ARA, Africa’s first female talking drummer, on stage to open and close the show.
