FastNews reports that on Wednesday, a photo of Bishop David Oyedepo, the head of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, and Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, appeared online.
However, it was reported that Oyedepo received a visit from the former governor of Anambra State on Tuesday at Canaanland, the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State.
As he turned 61 on Tuesday, some claimed the visit was in honor of his birthday. However, others connected the visit to the 2023 presidential election.
Here are some of the tweets on Twitter gathered by our correspondent on Wednesday:
“Peter Obi met with Bishop David Oyedepo yesterday, meaning he will meet with Adeboye soon. Talk about strategy. Obi means business. Would like him to meet with Pastor Dr Paul Enenche too,” @caesar_mayor tweeted.
@blossommartins tweeted, “While we were celebrating yesterday, H.E Peter Obi visited Bishop David Oyedepo at Canaanland for priestly and birthday blessings. More details later!!! finally P.O meets my bishop.”
@realdongabriel said, “Peter Obi visits God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo in Canaanland for birthday blessings. My incoming president is doing well.
@RealOgemdi tweeted, “Peter Obi is a silent mover… He just moves, the ones that leak are the ones that people recorded by chance.
“Peter Obi visited Bishop Oyedepo at Canaan Land.”
“Ti won ta (they are done for), a whole Bishop Oyedepo… Obi is the President,” @JaiyeolaOlami10 said.
Meanwhile, the details of the visit is yet unknown.
