Tinubu meets with the Northern Alliance and announces that consultations are still ongoing.

FastNews reports that Bola Tinubu, a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress, has stated that he will not refuse calls to run for President in 2023.

Tinubu made the remarks on Tuesday in Abuja, following a meeting with members of the Northern Alliance Committee.

While he refused to declare his intentions publicly, he stated that political consultations were ongoing.

Several groups, including the Tinubu Support Group and the South-West Agenda, or SWAGA, have established campaign offices across the country, putting pressure on the former Lagos State governor to run for office.

“I’m not going to turn them down,” Tinubu said, “but I’m still consulting, particularly brainstorming with my friends, and I will find a date to come out openly and tell Nigerians.”

The APC leader, on the other hand, stated that all hands must be on deck to assist the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd. ), by keeping him focused.

“The President is still in office, I don’t want to distract him from all the challenges that he might face today. So we will consult and make our program known to the people later and the intention is clear. So you keep guessing. ”

Endorsing Tinubu for 2023, the leader of the Northern Alliance Committee, Amb Lawal Munir, said the meeting resolved to work for the actualization of the ambition of the APC National Leader to the next level.

Munir, who said they had a fruitful meeting with Tinubu, disclosed that the committee resolved to support him come 2023 due to his superlative qualities.

He added, “The meeting ended very well. We are working for him. We are working for him because we know he will win the election when the time comes.”s.
