Davido, the Afrobeats superstar, has been confirmed to perform at the 2022 FIFA World Cup closing ceremony in Qatar.
Stephen Hung, a Chinese businessman, announced the news on Thursday via his Instagram story.
“So happy my bro #davido confirmed he will be performing at the World Cup Qatar closing ceremony,” Hung, who couldn’t contain his joy, said. I can’t wait to see him.”
According to reports, the DMW boss will perform the Qatar World Cup anthem ‘Hayya Hayya (Happy Together)’ alongside Trinidad singer Cardona and Qatar singer Aisha at the closing ceremony on Sunday, December 18th, 2022.
Davido’s absence from social media has no doubt been felt by his fans and lovers in the aftermath of his son’s tragic death on October 31.
He did, however, give them a brief glimpse of his presence online on November 25 during the inauguration ceremony of his uncle, Ademola Adeleke.
