FastNews reports that Angelique Kidjo, a Beninese singer, and songwriter, has received the Grammy Award for Best Global Music Album for her album “Mother Nature” at the 2022 Grammy Awards.
This is the seventh time the Beninese singer has won an award in her career. Wizkid, Femi Kuti, and Made Kuti were also nominated.
Angelique Kidjo, who has won the Grammy four times, said it is a major win for Africa during her address.
Nigerians, on the other hand, are not taking it lightly, believing that no one else can win in the category in which Angelique Kidjo is nominated.
