Troops nullify an ISWAP attack on a special forces school and kill seven terrorists in Yobe.
The Nigerian Military’s Special Forces and Air Task Force foiled a terrorist attack on the School of Special Forces in Yobe State on Sunday.
FastNews reports that seven ISWAP insurgents were killed when troops repelled a separate attack on civilians in Buni Yadi, a popular town in North East State.
According to military intelligence sources, the attackers stormed the town in two groups around 5 p.m.
One of the terrorist groups launched an attack from ‘Charly Company,’ while another attempted to attack the School of Special Forces.
“The terrorists used cows as a shield to gain easy access without being noticed,” one intelligence source told PRNigeria. “Their evil plan and strategy were exposed by the troops, who quickly engaged them in a gun battle.”
The source, while speaking further, said: “The ISWAP fighters, however, succumbed to the superior fire-power of our military troops and attempted to flee.
“But in the process, seven of them were gunned down, while two vehicles were recovered”.
