Bandits kidnap Adamawa district head’s wife and three children.

FastNews reports that Ardo Ahmadu, the wife and three children of a district head in Adamawa State, have been kidnapped by armed bandits.

The woman and her three children were abducted at their home in Yolde-Pate, in the Yola South Local Government Area of the state, according to a family source.

Ahmadu, the District Head of Mayo-Farang in the Fombina Emirate, was kidnapped last year and released after an N10 million ransom was paid.

DSP Suleiman Nguroje, the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the kidnapping of the traditional ruler’s family members.

“Suspected bandits attacked the residence of the district head of Mayo-Farang in the early hours of today (Tuesday) and kidnapped four persons: his wife and three children,” he said.

“However, the Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Ahmed Barde, has directed the anti-kidnapping and counter-terrorism units to go after the assailants and rescue the victims unharmed.”
