FastNews reports that Iyorcha Ayu, the newly elected national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says the party will grow Nigeria as it did when it was in power for 16 years if elected in 2023.
“We will continue to develop this country.” We’ve done it before. We’re going to do it all over again. “I’d like to express my gratitude to the governors,” Mr. Ayu stated during his thank-you address.
Mr. Ayu, the party’s consensus candidate at the 2021 national convention in Abuja, received 3,426 affirmative votes out of a total of 3,511 registered voters.
He warned Nigerians that the PDP would return to take over and “improve” the country, adding, “PDP will return to unite our people, put them together, north and south, east and west.”
