Fastnews Nigeria reports the defect of APC members.

Godwin Poyi, a former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Kuje council area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reported that the politician led over 150 members to the PDP on Monday, May 24.

The defectors reportedly handed over their APC membership cards, brooms, and posters in replacement for the umbrella of the PDP.
According to them, they decided to join the PDP because they were dissatisfied with the approach of APC policies in their area.

Godwin Poyi said:

“We decided to join the PDP to contribute to the development of Kuje Area Council and the country as a whole. “Our stay in APC has not been encouraging.

APC policies and approach have not encouraged democracy and governance in the area council.” The APC defectors were received by the chairman of PDP in Kuje area council, Ismaila Mohammed.

The PDP chieftain said more defectors were still coming to the party for the development of democracy in Kuje.
