Rochas Okorocha Released By The Police-

Fastnews Nigeria reports that after all said and done the former Governor have been released.

Rochas Okorocha who was arrested some hours ago by men of the Nigerian Police on the express instruction of governor Hope Uzodinma has been released.

Rochas Okorocha, the lawmaker who was arrested, handcuffed, humiliated and was ruffled by the aides of governor Hope Uzodinma who pounced on him and most of his loyalists was released after the Presidency intervened on Sunday evening, the above information was disclosed by
Some sources.

This online medium, gathered that their are other people who intervained to facilitate Okorocha’s release includes the leadership of the Senate, Sultan of Sokoto as well as some governors of the All Progressives Congress -APC, which was led by the governor of Kebbi State, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.

Some sources also revealed that Okorocha may be charged to court tomorrow but for now the police has released him and his aides who were arrested with him.

It would be recalled that the clash between Okorocha and aides of Imo State governor after the former unsealed Royal Spring Palm which was earlier sealed on the governor’s orders.

Governor Uzodinma’s aides were accused of bringing in thugs who attached and destroyed cars and properties belonging Okorocha inside the Spring Palm hotel premises; the open clash left many injured.

Uzodinma in a statement released by Ennyinnaya Onuegbu, Imo State Commissioner of Lands had earlier iterated that the State government is embarking on an exercise to revoke all lands illegally acquired by individuals or organisations in the state.

Onuegbu went ahead to evacuate occupants of the hotel forcefully before eventually sealing it up, until it was unsealed by Okorocha who arrived today in the company of his wife and son in-law Ugumba Uche-Nwosu.

Upon breaking the locks, he was rounded up by men of the Nigerian Police who later arrested him and took him to the State Police Command for interrogation.
