Why the Labour Party’s Campaign Council Isn’t Out Yet: Umeh
FastNews reports that Senator Victor Umeh, a senior member of the Labour Party (LP), said that the party’s campaign council for its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was being postponed to ensure the right team was organized.
This was stated by the former federal legislator on Friday while answering questions from reporters during an Igbo Day celebration in Awka, Anambra State.
According to him, Obi can win the 2023 presidential race without a campaign council, saying that the party does things differently.
He said: “We are careful in the Labour Party. We don’t do things because others are doing them. We search for something that will make Nigeria great again.
“When we searched for Obi’s running mate, you saw that we waited to ensure we got someone who matched the pairing. Yusuf Datti Ahmed is a very seasoned person”.
