Kwankwaso says he’s in talks with Peter Obi for the 2023 election.

FastNews reports that Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the NNPP presidential candidate, says he is in negotiations with his Labor Party counterpart Peter Obi about possible cooperation in the 2023 elections.

In an interview with BBC Hausa, he made the remarks.

“We are genuinely talking to Peter Obi, or at least claiming that the committee is working on it (and cooperating with him), and friends and family are coming to talk to us about it,” he stated.

Their partnership was especially vital, according to the former governor of Kano State, because neither the APC nor the PDP had chosen an Igbo vice presidential candidate.
