Fuel Subsidy Removal: NNPC Contracts Innoson Motors to Produce City Buses

NNPC Hires Innoson Motors to Produce Condensed Natural Gas for City Buses, FastNews reports.

NNPC to deploy hundreds of city transit buses across the country; NNPC has asked Innoson Motors to manufacture hundreds of buses as the removal of fuel subsidies is expected to raise transportation costs.

The buses manufactured by the indigenous car manufacturer can run on both gas and diesel.

“I do city buses for NNPC,” Innoson explained. The one who will use gasoline 100 pieces. I’m working on it from start to finish. It will be entirely made of gas. However, I designed it in such a way that if gas becomes scarce, it will run on diesel. As a result, it may change as an alternative.

” He added

“I can produce electric cars and make gas its alternative. I wanted to start producing electric cars, but Nigeria is not yet ready. Immediately Nigeria is ready, I will produce it. I have done the study and trained people on it. It’s a good development, and we are ready for it. ”
